Charlie Update (Please Read)

Some of you may already know this if you saw me last night or contacted me via text messages, if not please read.

Yesterday at work Charlie suddenly vomited, then passed out and hit his head. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and was alert and in good spirits. In the usual Charlie fashion, he was joking along the way. They did a catscan just to make sure there was no concusion. I heard he was at St Catherines and I called Vicki (she works there) and asked if she could check on him for me and make sure he's ok. Vicki called me back and with a quiver in her voice said "You better get down here, it's not good, they just had to revive him". Apparently as he was in in the ER waiting for the results, Charlie turned to the DR and said I really don't feel well, turned blue, stopped breathing and his heart actually stopped. They brought him back to life, and hooked him up to a respirator. The Dr thinks he might have had a blood clot that broke off and at that time went right to his lungs. They took him for a catscan of the lungs to see what they could find. Apparently he has a terrible case of pneumonia and his emphysema is worse than originally thought. Right now he is sedated and being pumped with antibiotics. There maybe some possible brain damage, but the Dr's won't know much for at least 24-48 hours.

I am not a religious person, nor will I pretend to be one right now. If you are..Please do what ever you like, pray, light a candle, bow towards Mecca..Just send as many positive thoughts Charlies way and hope that he fights this and one day, we can all laugh and have a beer over this.
